It is, after all, my name.
I had BBQ yesterday, but for this I can have it again. I'll meet you down there - or anywhere in between. What time?
I'll get back to you (via email) once I see if we have any other takers...
anyone go? If not, I may be able to tomorrow.
My sister and I went. And we witnessed quite a few people handing over wads of cash. It made our donation look pitiful, but every bit helps, right?I think they are going to be down there tomorrow too - I have lunch plans, else I'd join ya. I'll let you know if that changes.
We did witness a lady with a handful of crisp $20 bills being given to the volunteers collecting money....but don't let that much generosity deter anyone from going down. As Linda said, we gave less than that, but also witnessed people giving less than us - just a dollar or two in some cases - but right, every bit helps so if you only have $1.00 to spare - still give it. Combined with others giving just a dollar or two, that will soon add up to a lot of help. The volunteers will come out to your car to collect the money so there's no worry about finding parking downtown - just a nice drive around the block (to get to where you need to be with all the one-way streets). There were even a couple of volunteers on the N-E corner of 5th and Broadway.
Aaahhh! I get it - he's your new hubby!!!
