A 7 year old step daughter is the perfect excuse to buy coloring books and crayons and spend hours sitting at the coffee table coloring.
I don't think she noticed I was having just as much fun as she was.
I wonder if I can get away with pulling out the coloring books when she's not over...

I think you could get away with it only until you used up a favorite color or colored in a page she wanted. Then there might be consequences to pay.
