I couldn't find anything on their website, and I tried to search the web in general and could find nothing but Donut Day 2005. However, I did find this, from http://www.answers.com/topic/krispy-kreme :
Until 2006, when the "HOT" sign was on, Krispy Kreme gave out a free hot doughnut to any customers who entered; today, stores only offer these free doughnuts to children 12 and under.
Now my first thought was "why didn't I know about this free donut thing before now?", and the next thought was for you....perhaps JJ is more useful than you already know since he'll be '12 and under' for close to 13 years!! (Of course if you take him in now and ask for a free donut I doubt they'll think it's really for him!)
I just checked the Krispy Kreme site again and it's up and official. June 1st it is! Mmmm doughnuts...
Krispy Kreme is always a special place for me. My dad and I used to go there all the time when I was a kid and we would sit by the glass and watch the doughnuts go around on their little conveyer belts. Up the hill they would all go. And my little 5 year old eyes were watching the whole thing with such joy and delight. Good stuff, for sure.

Sounds good. But 9 a.m. is way early for a guy like me.

So does this mean we're still on for 9 a.m....even if we don't have to demand a donut?
Thanks, Bez!
I'm all over this... One for me and one for JJ means 2 for me!
That thing I said about June 1st in my last comment? I really meant June 2nd. Carry on. ;)
