Happy Celebrating!

Today is National Sangria Day. Be sure to observe it responsibly.

Now, if only I knew someone with a tried and true recipe...

You just can't go wrong. I'll re-post it for those who want to celebrate in style

1 3L box (or bottle, if you just want a little) CHEAP red wine. Red table wine, burgundy, etc.

1 2L bottle of ginger ale (or just a can if you're only doing one bottle of wine or just put as much or little in as you like)

1 can of fruit cocktail (heavy or light syrup depending on the sweetness level you like). Use the big can for the big box; smaller can for a bottle.

Mix, serve chilled. Garnish with thin orange slices if you want to be fancy. Will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for at least six months wherein it just gets stronger and the leftover fruit becomes mini-shots.

Yum.

Thanks - yum is right! I was forgetting the ginger ale. Note to self: Stop on the way home for ginger ale.

I lurv some good Sangria, I'll try this because it looks cheap, but I dunno...something doesn't seem right. I'll report back if my concerns were unfounded.
